What is verified, and what is not.

These results come from the project's own README. All testing so far was done in QEMU/KVM; none of it is a statement about real hardware.

Tested in QEMU
  • Live boot to a graphical greetd/gtkgreet login, then the Labwc desktop with its panel, launcher and terminal
  • The Calamares installer flow, Welcome through Finish, and a real install to a blank virtual disk
  • Reboot from the installed disk, graphical login, and sudo apt update against Debian's mirrors
Not tested
  • Real hardware of any kind — everything tested so far is QEMU/KVM
  • End-to-end UEFI boot (the image is structurally validated for UEFI; the full flow was driven through BIOS)
  • Manual partitioning, encrypted installs, dual boot, suspend/resume and Bluetooth on real devices
  • Physical Raspberry Pi 4 hardware validation
Known limitations
  • Installer theming is functional but minimal
  • Firmware package coverage is best-effort and unverified against real devices
  • Mouse clicks on some window-titlebar buttons could not be confirmed in the test harness; keyboard equivalents work
